name: Mariam Rasoolzadeh
"My name is Maryam Rasoolzadeh and I’m 25 years old. I lived in London for the first few years of my life before moving to Cornwall with my mother. I live with my boyfriend, but from time to time go at stay at my mums. My mum and I have always had a really good relationship, we’re more like friends really, she’s always been really supportive emotionally in whatever I have chosen to do. I first left home when I was 17 to go and study in Bristol, but I always came back home in the holidays. Since then I haven’t lived with my mum full time, but she’s always been pretty close by. When I first found that I had a place on the degree course at Falmouth I thought I’d move up there, but after looking at the cost of accommodation, that I wouldn’t be living in during the holidays, I felt that I would be better off staying where I am and commuting. there have been times where I’ve felt it would be easier if I was closer to campus but I’m much better off financially for staying where I am, and it has meant that I can live off my summer savings and not worry about having to have a job during term time."
